Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,
Greetings from the Schank Family! On behalf of my wife and children I would like to express our gratitude for your heartfelt prayers on our behalf. Truly your intercessory prayer has been what has sustained us during the last 8 weeks. We want to express our appreciation for your generous and faithful financial support. Every card, letter, email and text you have sent has been such an encouragement. Thank you so much!
Since our last letter, much has transpired. We have undergone genuine renewal in our hearts as God moved upon us. Our services, personal devotions, and recent revival meeting have all been life changing! In the midst of such an omnipotent work of God’s Spirit, the enemy has been trying to fight back. Although this is to be expected, it is never pleasant nor is it welcomed.
Early in April, Pastor Danny Moore from Zion Hill Baptist Church of Greenville, South Carolina preached our Spring Revival. God used Brother Danny in the pulpit and out of the pulpit to help us deepen our desire to walk by faith. Every message was timely and very applicable to our church’s present circumstances. To God Be The Glory!
As I write this letter we are only seven and a half weeks away from the Midwestern Jubilee! This meeting is vitally important to me as a Church Planter. As you already know, we have been trying to get our supporting churches to pen a letter of encouragement to Great Commission Baptist Church for the purpose of showing the magnitude of REAL support for the work here and/or sending a delegate to attend the Jubilee. We are extremely honored to have some letters/emails in hand from supporting churches and a few committed to attending the meeting! Of course, we want to hear back from more!!!
Our family is doing well. Classes have been tough for my girls and the boys… well… they are boys. We are experiencing warmer weather and this always means more responsibility and opportunity. I feel that our family is closer than it has ever been, but we do desire to walk closer with our Lord! In this realm, we have a special prayer request. Just pray!
In conclusion, I would like to ask you to continue to pray for our church. We have been put into a unique position on many fronts. I cannot speak about specifics at this point, but ask that you simply pray that we would exercise faith and courage as we move forward with our Lord. We are standing on the threshold of huge responsibility! More to come…
Endeavoring To Stand In The Gap,
Brother Andrew Schank
