Schank Family Prayer Letter November – December 2016

November – December 2016 Prayer Letter

Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I Thessalonians 5:18. Truly I would like to convey my family’s gratitude for each of you… our supporters. Every moment you have spent in prayer, every ounce of energy you have utilized in helping this ministry and every penny you have sacrificially given means everything to the Schank Family!!! “THANK YOU!”

This year has been a tremendous 12 months for us. As you know, we have experienced some very low valleys and we have been invigorated by high mountain top vistas. In the midst… God’s Word still says… “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Each trial and test has served to strengthen our family. For each situation, we are thankful.

The family is doing well. School is in full swing and looking forward to the Christmas break. Grades are well and we still have our sanity, so I guess that means we are good. Lol! My children are growing up way to fast, and Micah seems to be changing the most!

Things around the church are well. I had the privilege to baptize 3 more souls this month. It is always an exciting time for me to be able to immerse a new convert. This last round of baptisms was rather interesting. I nearly had my very first dual baptism. By that I mean… well, you know… I almost baptized myself! For the first time in the ministry I slipped and almost went under. Fortunately, I caught myself against the back of the baptistery. WOW! Very noisy!

Our church is gearing up for our very first Jubilee! I know it is not until next June, but we are beginning preparations now! With this letter is a flyer about our meeting. It is our desire that you will pray for and possibly attend this meeting. My deepest desire is that a representative from each of our supporting churches could attend; preferably the pastor or missions director. If this is not possible, then we ask that a letter of encouragement be sent to Great Commission Baptist Church to be read during the meeting. I want our church family to see and hear from you all!

Our church would like you to spread the word about this meeting and pray fervently for it! If you or anyone from your congregation plans on coming to the meeting, we ask that you go to our website and register. You can fill out the form by going to the tab Midwestern Jubilee 2017 in the navigation bar. Anything can happen between now and June, but we need to know what to plan on… if possible.

Like you, we are excited about what God is doing in these days. It is wonderful to be a part of such a great work, isn’t it? Please remember us during this season and ask God to use us as never before in the coming year. May Christ continue to bless you and yours as you endeavor to live for Christ! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Endeavoring To Stand In The Gap,

Brother Andrew Schank
