Schank Family Prayer Letter September – October 2015

Schank FamilySeptember – October 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,

Greetings from Blair, Nebraska! On behalf of my family, I would like to thank each of you for the prayers made on our behalf and your sacrificial financial support. We appreciate every card, letter, email, and phone call received! We are very encouraged by your thoughtfulness!

The last two months have been filled with mountain top experiences and deep valleys. We are thankful for each experience and desire to learn from them. Miranda’s tumor is somewhat stable. She is having some more pain with it, but is learning to cope better. The rest of the family is well. Joshua celebrated his eleventh birthday in October. It is always interesting since he was born during a revival meeting and usually has one near his birthday each year!

We were honored to have Dr. Scott Caudill, General Director of Macedonia World Baptist Missions, Inc., with us for Revival. Each message was honored by God and of great help to each member of our family and congregation. I was especially helped by his presence here. It is great to be around dear friends!

The biggest issue we are facing right now, which has overshadowed us completely, is the breakdown of our Chevrolet Suburban. The engine went bad at just a little over 120,000 miles. Fortunately, a good Christian brother was able to diagnose the problem and is in the midst of changing out the engine as I write this letter. Without a doubt, apart from our home’s mortgage, this is the single biggest financial hardship our family has ever faced.

We are continuing to work with a family who needs to Christ! They are faithful to attend services and are very helpful in many ways. Please keep this family in your prayers as we endeavor to point them to Christ!

In conclusion, I ask you to pray for us as we desperately need it. God is working in many ways and on many fronts here in this community. The valleys we have been through and are presently experiencing will certainly be used of the Lord to augment the ministry here. Praise The Lord! Should you have any questions about the work here… please feel free to give us a call! 402-909-2799 Thanks again for your dedication to the ministry here in Blair, Nebraska!
