Schank Family Prayer Letter July – August 2015

Schank FamilyJuly – August 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,

Greetings from Blair, Nebraska! On behalf of my family, I would like to thank each of you for your prayers, cards, emails, phone calls and letters of encouragement these last two months. I wish you could see the exuberance and delight in our hearts as we share this prayer letter. Knowing that you are prayerfully undergirding this ministry means so much!

The last two months have been jammed packed with so much; it is very difficult to find a place to begin. Per our last letter, we shared that our church enjoyed its first Missions Conference. The conference has significantly changed our church’s mentality on giving and on ministry in general. We are extremely grateful for the presence of God’s Holy Spirit during this season.

We have had more first time visitors and have seen many of them coming rather faithfully. We also were able to lead a young lady to the Lord after our week of Vacation Bible School. She came most evenings with her daughter and the following Sunday trusted Christ as her Saviour. WOW! We also had our Baptismal Service where we baptized six.

This summer has been full of Providential encounters with individuals and families for which I am thankful. It is so neat to see God visibly working in people’s lives! Myself, and one other man from our church travelled to Clinton Township, Michigan to help fellow MWBM Missionaries Bill and Jeanette Hensley with their new work. It was a great learning experience for all involved. We came back to Blair with a fresh vision, perspective and zeal for the work here in Nebraska.

As you well know, when God is at work Satan is busy too. Please pray for some special requests that our family has as well as the ministry of Great Commission Baptist Church. Our family has some needs the Lord knows about. We just ask you to pray with and for us!

Andrea enjoyed another birthday in July, and some of my wife’s family made the trek to Blair for a week visit later in August. The children are preparing to start their schooling as I write this letter. Things are well!

In conclusion, I just want to reiterate that my family is especially grateful for your prayer and financial support! Without your support, I just don’t see how we could make it! Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions you may have about the work.

Endeavoring To Stand In The Gap,

Brother Andrew Schank
