Schank Family Prayer Letter May – June 2015

Schank FamilyMay – June 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:” (Psalms 103:1-2) These words are certainly our thoughts as a family at this time! God has been at work here in Blair and we do not take it for granted.

On behalf of my family, I would like to say, “Thank You!” for your kindness in sending cards, emails, and letters of encouragement. Truly you have been sharing in our labors here in Nebraska. Your financial support is truly appreciated and we are doing our best to spend every cent as wisely as a person can.

The last two months have been tremendous! Our church has seen another soul saved, we have seen our church family growing closer together, and we have been able to begin saturating our community with more gospel literature. This saturation project has already yielded some immediate fruit!

June was climatic for us as we held our very first Faith Promise Missions Conference. Dr. Roger Baker, of King , North Carolina, was kind enough to come out and help us with this momentous occasion. In Biblical fashion, our church is learning that you cannot out give God! I will try to convey more details about this conference in our next letter.

Miranda is doing better with her tumor. This size seems to be shrinking more. If you recall, a pastor from Kentucky sent us an alternative medical device a few months ago. Miranda uses it every day and it has been making her more comfortable with her pain. Keep her in your prayers.

I would ask your prayers for our family. We have some special requests of prayer concerning our homeschooling needs this year. They are very important to us. Our family is doing fine. The children are enjoying their Summer vacation and Shilo and I are busier than ever.

As I conclude this letter, my heart is grieved by the passing of a dear friend of mine. Geno, as we call him, was a resident of Blair for many years. He passed away at the age of 69 a few short days ago. I have the funeral this coming week. You will not receive this letter before the funeral, but I will ask you to pray for the rest of the family and friends. I will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with many of these people. Pray that we can see some fruit!

Thank you so much for “being there” for the Schank Family!

Endeavoring To Stand In The Gap,

Brother Andrew Schank
