Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,
Greetings from Blair, Nebraska! I am reminded of the Apostle Paul’s encouraging words in Galatians 6:9 where he stated, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” My family has enjoyed a season of reaping these past two months and it certainly has been enjoyable. Indeed, God has shown Himself strong on our behalf!
I would like to begin this letter with an apology for being a couple of weeks late getting this letter out. Our situation is very fluid right now and I have been waiting on some important information to share in this letter, but I still do not have what I need. That being said, I hope you will understand.
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you for your generous prayer and financial support. Without which we could not do what we are doing. I also would like to thank each one who took time to send a card, letter, postcard, and/or email of encouragement. Some even took time out of their busy schedules to call me. THANK SO MUCH! I did get one year older in January and I am thankful for your thoughtfulness in remembering!
I have some big news to share with you! As previously mentioned, we are enjoying a season of reaping. I am proud to announce that on February 9, 2014 Great Commission Baptist Church was officially chartered! Hallelujah! We had 28 individuals sign the charter! WOW! Since that time, I have been busy trying to contact our supporting churches to inform them of this the great news. For those who I have not spoken with… please hang on! I will be in touch real soon! We are grateful for Dr. Dean Hamby, from Macedonia World Baptist Missions, coming out to help with the chartering. We are equally grateful for Liberty Baptist Church of Fremont, Nebraska and Pastor Roger Luiken for letting us use their wonderful facilities for the service. I am VERY grateful for my Pastor Dr. Bobby Roberson and my home church of Gospel Light in their unfailing support for my family and ministry!!!
Along with the excitement that comes with chartering the church, we are in the midst of a huge need. As we have highlighted in the past couple of letters, our church is in need of facilities of our own. As I type this letter, we are in negotiations with a gentleman about purchasing a building. Things are favorable as of now. That is all the info I have at this point. PRAY! There are so many things I need to share, but this letter does not have the space for it. Again, I will be in touch with each of our supporting churches in the coming weeks!
For now, please go to the following web page to learn more about our need. You can sign up for an email newsletter concerning our building project on that page, as well as watch a video I made about our situation via a link at the top of the page. http://greatcommissionbaptist.org/?page_id=822
In conclusion, I would like to ask you to continue to prayerfully support our family a while longer as we are sacrificing any possible monetary support from the church to help with the building project. We are in desperate need of a church building! PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! Thanks for believing in the work here in BLAIR, NEBRASKA!
