November – December 2013 Prayer Letter
Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,
“To God be the glory, great things He hath done!” As we close the year 2013, our family is overwhelmed at the visible evidence of God’s blessing and favor upon our church and family. We are thankful for everyone one of you who have taken an interest in the work God is doing in Blair, Nebraska! On behalf of my family, I would like to say, “THANK YOU!” for your prayers, love offerings, cards, emails, phone calls, pictures, and letters over the last year, but especially in the last several weeks. You don’t understand just how much they have meant to us!
Since our last prayer letter, we have seen 2 precious souls saved! Shilo and I had the privilege of leading a young girl to Christ in her home at the end of November. Another young man, whom we have been praying for came to church on Christmas Day with his parents. After church that evening, I was able to lead that young man to the Lord Jesus Christ! Hallelujah! What a day to get in! This makes 12 souls saved for the year!
We have been making headway in our discipleship program with our new converts. While all are growing in their walk and seeing their faith increase due to answers to specific prayers, one young lady stands out. Tracy asks more questions that anyone I know! Some of this is just her personality in general, but her questions as very profound and God is obviously working in her heart!
Our family is doing well. Shilo is doing a fantastic job homeschooling our children! We have seen a growth in our children’s spiritual life. Miranda has been writing poems and showing concern for others to be saved. Andrea is trying to win a couple of her friends to the Lord. My boys… well… they are boys! They have been asking some questions which evidence God is speaking to them and challenging them. At this point, our youngest is the only child who has not, of their own volition, accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour. God has blessed our family in 2013!
Our biggest challenge for the church, as was mentioned in our last prayer letter, is another facility for our church to meet in. Our investigation into the only building in town is underway. Later in January we will have the architect and structural engineer’s feasibility study back. At that point, we should have the necessary information to make a prayerful decision for or against the purchase of the building and property. We humbly ask you to pray for us. We don’t want to make the WRONG decision!
In our last letter, I stated that I would have things up on our website for you to see with detail what we are considering. That has been delayed due to the ongoing feasibility study. As soon as I get the information, I will post it on our website.
For sure, God is doing something in Blair, Nebraska, that man cannot take credit for! Again, I want to thank each of you for praying for us and helping support our family as we endeavor to “…make up the hedge, and stand in the gap…” for Washington County!
Endeavoring To Stand In The Gap,
