March – April 2013 Prayer Letter
Dear Supporters and Praying Friends,
Greetings from the Schank Family! As we begin this letter, I would like you to know that we appreciate each and every one of your prayers made on our behalf. Though you are not physically with us here in Blair, Nebraska, you are laboring alongside us when you pray for our family and ministry. This is something which you should never take for granted!
We would also like to thank you for your generous financial support, birthday and anniversary cards. We truly appreciate everything you do to encourage and support our family. One never really knows just how much a card or quick email means until you get one at a time when it is needed!
The months of March and April have been the greatest months of ministry thus far! We have experienced some great worship services and times of refreshing. More visitors have come lately and it seems many of the people we are trying to reach are close to attending. We are also seeing how God is allowing us to gain the favor of some of the folks in the community. This means a lot because Blair and Washington County is a very close knit area.
The most exciting thing to happen lately was when a young man accepted Christ as his Saviour on Wednesday evening, April 4th. This was one of those times when God allows you to reap where you have not knowingly sown before. A young couple showed up for Bible Study and God used the lesson to work upon the young man’s heart. For the previous two weeks he was under conviction and needed to find some relief. At the conclusion of the Bible Study I was able to lead him to Jesus!
I would ask that you pray for our new converts as we endeavor to disciple them and remember to pray for their families. There are numerous people connected with these new Christians who need to be saved as well. I would also like you to help us pray for wisdom regarding a place to meet. As you know, we are currently using another church’s fellowship hall with no signage. God has brought people to us in spite of these unusual circumstances. It is our desire to acquire a place of our own. Humanly speaking this is not going to happen any time soon because of finances, zoning laws, and adequate buildings available. God, however, can change these circumstances!
As we conclude this letter, please know that we are thankful for everyone one of you. We could not reach Washington County Nebraska without you! Thanks so much! If you have any questions about our ministry, would like to contribute to a solution about a church building of our own, or if we can help you in any way, then please contact us (402) 909-2799. May Christ continue to bless you, your family & your church family!
